LOL....too funny. I thought the whole Mayan 2012 calendar end of the world thing was some seriously stupid ass shit from day 1. Goes to show how people will simply believe anything they want to no matter how ridiculous it is.

http://www.universetoday.com/95097/end-of-the-world-averted-new-archeological-find-proves-mayan-calendar-doesnt-end/

"So much for the world ending on December 21, 2012. We’ve been saying it for years (http://www.universetoday.com/14094/no-doomsday-in-2012/), but a new find by archaeologists confirms the Mayan calendar indeed does not end this year but keeps going, just like turning a page to a new calendar.

“It’s very clear that the 2012 date, while important as Baktun 13, was turning the page,” David Stuart, quoted by Alan Boyle on MSNBC’s Cosmic Log (http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/05/10/11639788-maya-calendar-workshop-documents-time-beyond-2012?lite). “Baktun 14 was going to be coming, and Baktun 15 and Baktun 16. …

The Maya calendar is going to keep going, and keep going for billions, trillions, octillions of years into the future.”

Since it predates the "2012 calendar" I view that as a beta test. Since it wasn't really "published" that it was a rough draft until they better understand the cycles and "publish" the final version.

We no longer use the Julian calendar, does that mean it's "more right" than the one we currently use?

And NO WHERE does it say that the calendar "ends" It's a cycle and restarts.

Good question. Puzzles me also. The calendar simply moves from one age or aeon into another. It's a new age coming. Happens to be aquarius. some say the gregorian calendar is out by a fist full of years and we are already in the new age.
