Just five minutes ago I refreshed the page and silver was 28.18 + - 0.

I just made a post and silver is now -0.15 at 27.57

The numbers don't add up they are off over 50 cents.

Either the ticker is fucked, or Someone is messing with the spot price to get peoples stops to kick in and drop the price even further.

Not that I really care since I am finally in a position to buy again so I can just use this as an opportunity to load up.

When I have no dry powder is when price drops piss me off.

I saw it too, before 8pm, it spiked over 28.5... then the history magically disappeared, I should have screen saved it.

I guess TPTB tell London Fix where spot shall be but in their manipulation the numbers sometimes get away, they are probably paying more than spot for silver & gold but set the ticker lower. Maybe real price payment figures leak out on occasion.

Regardless, stack now if you can find a dealer willing to sell. I see major disconnect between dealer and spot, which is how it should be since spot is manipulated like an Obmama sock puppet.

Who sets the Fixings?
The five members of the Gold Fixing are NM Rothschild & Sons Limited, The Bank of Nova ScotiaMocatta, Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC Bank USA, and Societe Generale. The three members of the Silver Fixings are The Bank of Nova ScotiaMocatta, Deutsche Bank AG, and HSBC Bank USA

Wednesday's silver price dump occurred at about 1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific.

Silver dropped into the high $26's - for a few minutes.

not sure if that's what you were seeing.

sometimes the Kitco file "sp_en_6.gif" that we use on G-S.us gets stuck.

sometimes the Live Silver & Gold prices won't load - too busy.

the most reliable price index i've found is the APMex home page. they run off the Kitco API - there is no image to load - it's a text file.

the *.gif file has to be created by the Kitco website & updated several times a minute.

when prices are dropping & millions of people are checking the prices - that's a lot of web traffic.
