Thank you MNEagle.

Contrary to popular belief, Memorial Day was declared by Congress as a day to pray for peace. Not to glorify war.

I notice around here, MIC held their festivities later in the A.M..
Like closer to noon.
I wonder if this was to get more goy sheep to attend.
The big giant war flag hanging from the very expensive and unneeded ladder truck made me proud to live in such a great nation.

The local McDonald's also had all their flags at half-staff, the Fed's, State's, and their own McDonald's flag. I'm am truly proud to be an American on this day.

I wish I could have taken a picture of it. A busy intersection, the McDonald's almost rising against it as a red and golden revolt against the drab urban city scape. This... poison factory, almost looks like a beacon amidst this atmosphere, then I notice the flags, all at half staff. "What douchebag died now?" "Oh it was me and all the others, many years ago when this country was given away." The poison factory displaying the death of America for all to see in juxtaposition the busy intersection amidst the slow death of the streets, and one of the things killing it is displaying proudly it's "patriotism"

im going to cause some flames here...but so what!
ill celebrate memorial day when our troops are actually defending Americas interests, not global oil cartels and cia opium crops. EVERY war since the civil war was bullshit. Period. the sum total of them wasnt worth a single American life. The only and most recent war heros were the Confederate Army! May their decendants always be proud.

Not for the Southerners fighting for their independence.

Absolutely.

But from the USA side pretty much every war since 1812 was bullshit.

I pity the man that would flame you for that, for they would show their ignorance beyond a doubt :)

As you said, I'll remember when there is something worth remembering. I remember 1913 though for damn sure.

Well I was referring the consequences of the outcome. The sham union was bullshit and as a reminder I fly the General Lee everyday on my truck on top of my dogs boxes. ;)

Combination of human freakshow and shameless patriotard MIC leghumping.

Indeed Hatha. My intent was to remember all that have died, military or otherwise. But especially for those we've lost close to us.

Gotta say, JD that well nuggeted post certainly resounded with me. I certainly didn't celebrate memorial day. Remembered those who have uselessly died? Yes. But celebrate war and PTB
havoc? Not so much.
