Not this user! Why should it be easy to tell thanks, by just pressing a thanks button? Isn't the thank worth more if you say it in person, you explain shortly why you thanked etc... We got a few lurkers, old timers, for instance drafter, who just used to press the Thank you button, and actually started contributing to the forum again, because there was no thank you button. I'll say keep the thank you button out of the equation and we will have more of a vivid discussion.

I must say though I am sad that the Book is a fithly cunter thread is gone!

True, a filthy cunt would have become still nastier with the Thanks feature...

The "thanks" feature is still unsupported, but there is a newer version. I will talk to the host about using it. It is weaknesses in this feature that allowed it to be hacked. I want to be sure the forum stays secure. I have not forgotten about it.

Thanks for not installing an exploitable feature that can compromise forum security!

(and yes I miss the feature too)

Thanks, DMac. And for the record, I really miss "Thanks", too. It gives me a chance to say, 'hey that was a great or useful comment that makes me think' without having to have a response.

So far, the only thanks I can see being given in this thread were by Gaillo. Through the 'Thanks" button, that is.
