I asked that what is an Irish Jew question myself, and then I remembered. Jewishness is conveyed through the female lineage, not the male to be considered legit Jewish.

Don't recall Sinclair ever singing the praises of his (now obviously Irish) mother. That omission seems glaringly odd now that it's emerged as a verbalized, and weilded identity weapon last evening.
