I saw this on live leak a few days ago and didn't watch it. but after seeing it on the news I went back and tried. I could only watch a couple minutes of it. I hate seeing people suffer like that.

Making The Bus Monitor Cry- MUST WATCH

Cruel kids threaten and intimidate old lady bus monitor on the bus. Greece NY, Bus 784. Needless to say I raged hard after watching this. Kids need an ass whooping and to learn some damn respect. To you people against abortion, this is why it is needed. Imagine if this was your mom or grandmother. I couldn't even watch the whole video.

People of the Internet, you did it: In less than 48 hours you managed to raise more than half a million dollars to send bullied bus driver Karen Klein on a vacation.
Max Sidorov, the young man who started the fundraising campaign (http://www.indiegogo.com/loveforkarenhklein?c=activity) on Wednesday morning, was hoping to raise $5,000 for Klein, but that was peanuts for you. You blew past that number in just five hours.
By the time Sidorov woke up Thursday morning the fundraising campaign was up to $125,000. And throughout the day on Thursday, the number seemed to grow by $3,000 every 15 minutes.
The last time I checked, 25,271 people had donated a total of $544,463 to the Klein's vacation fund. That means the average donation was about $21.53
Someone even started a petition (http://www.change.org/petitions/president-barack-obama-waive-the-income-tax-on-the-donations-to-karen-the-bullied-bus-monitor?utm_medium=email&utm_source=signature_receipt&fb_source=message) on Change.Org to ask President Obama (http://www.latimes.com/topic/politics/government/barack-obama-PEPLT007408.topic) to let Klein receive the donated money tax free. It turned out it was not necessary because there are no taxes on the money being given to Klein, but that didn't stop 7,500-plus people from signing it.

I've been trying my hardest not to watch this vid, but while visiting family yesterday this was playing on the LOCAL news(it happened no where near here). The kids are all assholes, but why is this a national ordeal? They "joned" that old woman bad, should have found OJW and asked to borrow his flame suit. I mean she's a bus monitor for Krishna's sake, not that she deserves this crap but what did she expect on a high school bus? Tea, dumplings, and a red carpet?

Sticks and stones.....

SirG is correct, Klein is a very Jewish name. So now do you see why this is getting national attention? An old helpless Jewish woman being viciously assaulted by a pack of smug whites, whom she was just there to help.

"A lot of the surnames that sound Jewish to Americans are simply German names such as Klein, Gross or Grossman, Weiss or Weisman, Rosen, Schwartz or Schwartzman, Segal, Siegal or Sagal, and anything that contains berg, stein, man, thal or bluth. German surnames are very common among American Jews"

You're Anti-Semetic, that's what your problem is.

Typical for today.

Parents not being parents as they should be. been getting worse this last 2 generations.

People do not know how to be civil, or teach it to their kids.

The ashkenazis all have german sounding names. So that alone is not enough to really pin someone on.

The other thing is this kids, don't look White as far as I can tell

Luis Recio
Wesley Helm (maybe White)
Brandon Teng
Joshua Slesak (maybe White)

One thing is for sure they are all as White as George Zimmerman, so I'm sure the media will eat it up.

This is extremely inappropriate behavior for kids no doubt, regardless of circumstances, but I get tired of hell of all this anti bullying BS.

People are such stupid sheep. They have given this woman over $500, 000 for a vacation. Don't they have better things to do? I am outraged here is some money. Has it occurred to anyone that she is a lousy bus monitor? Maybe she should be fired instead.

Bullied bus monitor honored in Rochester (http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/national_world&id=8712444)

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A strong show of support for the bus monitor from Rochester, who was seen being verbally abused by students.

Bus drivers and monitors say the controversy surrounding Karen Klein has encouraged people to stand up to bullying on buses.

Many hope the incident will lead to new bus regulations.

To honor Klein and her colleagues, The Mall at Greece Ridge in Rochester kicked off Bus Monitor and Bus Driver Appreciation Days on Saturday.

Bus monitors and drivers gathered to support Karen and voice their opinions about the incident.

Bus monitors and drivers were not the only ones who gathered at the mall.

Students from around the area also showed support for Karen.

One student, who was bullied herself, read Karen a letter.

Karen says she cannot believe the attention this controversy has gained.

She believes her story can serve as a lesson.

The Mall at Greece Ridge is honoring all bus drivers and monitors throughout the weekend.

What lesson is there to be learned? Become a bus monitor, get public taunting taped, then have buffoons give you money?

The lesson to be learned is that bullying does exist, folks are victims, and it's wrong and does deserve attention.

I doubt this bullied woman was aware she was being video taped. I also don't think she asked for any donations. The 500K donated to her, in my opinion, give's a lot of hope for our society. That's 500K, collectively freely given by folks, that says a lot about how people feel about bullying. As another poster said, I'd rather donate to her than any of our politicians (except Ron Paul). People have a right to give their money to who they want, if they feel good about giving it to this woman for a vacation, that's great.

I hope this lady takes a well deserved vacation, then uses the funds to further educate and make a stand against bullying in our schools.

I don't know what the tax rate will be, but it's ironic that a good sized chunk of that windfall will end up in the hands of the biggest bullies on the planet.

Karen doesn't have to pay taxes on the amount. The greater irony is that all of us work to get paid and then turn around and give the majority of it back to the largest corps that most here complain of.

What if that was your mother on the bus being picked on? How would you feel about the situation then? Acceptance of verbal bullying eventually leads to assault and battery. The fact that so many people donated money to help her out shows humanity isn't doomed yet. This lady wasn't looking for a penny from anyone from the incident (unless there is some hidden conspiracy here I don't know about). Note: I have not watched the whole video. I like how one of the kids and a mother apologized too. Sounds like a good overall ending to me to an ugly incident.

Students who viciously bullied bus monitor suspended for a year (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-rt-us-usa-bullyingbre85t01q-20120629,0,5855669.story)

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Four New York seventh graders whose bullying of a bus monitor grandmother went viral on YouTube have been suspended from school for a year, a school district official said on Friday.

The students will be sent to a non-school facility where they will be tutored academically.

They will be required to complete 50 hours of community service with senior citizens and will receive formal behavioral training, according to a statement from the head of the Greece Central School District in upstate New York.

The YouTube cellphone video, which has been viewed more than 7 million times, shows four young teens lobbing vicious insults at 68-year-old Karen Klein, bringing her to tears.

The incident occurred June 18th. The video was posted to YouTube on June 20th and public reaction was swift.

Disney offered Klein a trip to Disney World in California and Southwest Airlines volunteered to pay for flights for Klein and her eight grandchildren. She was also given a free week-long vacation to the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort in Florida.

An online appeal for donations to Klein topped $650,000 earlier this week.

Television couldn't get enough of Klein this week. She appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" and NBC's "Today" on Thursday morning, and with Anderson Cooper on CNN and on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" later Thursday.

In the 10-minute video, entitled "Making the Bus Monitor Cry," the students taunt Klein, a widow, mercilessly.

At one point, a student tells Klein "you don't have a family because they all killed themselves.

"They don't want to be near you!"

Klein told NBC News she does not know whether the students were aware that her oldest son committed suicide ten years ago.

The four students involved, whose last names have not been released, do not face criminal charges. Their families have agreed to allow the school district to publicly announce the results of an internal investigation.

"Each of the students involved admitted wrongdoing, accepted the recommended consequences and agreed to permit the district to publicly release the terms of the disciplinary action,'' Greece Central School District Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams said in the statement.

We had some guys slash bus break lines when I was in school. They didn't even get a year.
