Non reported, perhaps a slow quiet kill. They control the news so why couldn't it have been 250k?

Edit: The bodies are buried by family just like other deceased.

What I mean Cebu, is that the media was always trumpeting up a panic with their hyped up broadcasts regarding the bird flu, the swine flu, etc, and they would just throw numbers of "dead" around all willy nilly, but no-one ever knew anyone that actually died.

I think it's all fucking lies. If I remember correctly, we had a thread on GIM that ripped the flu panic campaign apart completely. If I remember correctly, not a single death could be attributed to the flavor-of-the-year flu at all. We were making jokes about how a person could have been decapitated in an auto accident, and the media would say the person died "from complications arising from the flu".

It was a JOKE. Everyone knew it was a lie. Even my parents, and they are the bluest pills you'll ever meet.
