Pretty cool pictorial of how powers grab and lose. Notice that it is the culture (language/traditions) of the people which rules in the long run.

You probably want to concentrate on what stays the same rather than what changes. For example, the outline of the continent doesn't change at all (ok, maybe some minor changes). If watersheds were displayed they would be constant.

What is changing is political and administrative boundaries. States are nothing but groups of people. Alliances are made and destroyed all the time.

Not really accurate though. Doesn't show the E.U.

I wish there was a time stamp that ran with the video so I could see what year I was looking at. As it is I didn't really know at any given time what year I was looking at.

Poland disappeared for awhile, but came back. The polish people kept their culture alive during that time, even though they didn't even have a country. That says a lot. Proud, but very generous and giving folks.
