That post on the 1987 crash reminds me of incidents like the TWA Flight 800.

The official conspiracy theory about Flight 800 is that the Navy was out testing their favorite war-toy, the AEGIS system and its missile defense capabilities.

They fired off Rocket #1, and tried to hit it with Rocket #2.

One of the rockets sliced through a passenger jet, TWA Flight 800. Leaving solid rocket propellant residue on the seats.

The FBI went to great lengths to cover up the incident, along with the US military.

I wonder if something else was going on. Maybe it was a warm-up for 9-11.

In any case, I was thinking of all the various incidents where the US government 'accidentally' killed US civilians.

I list the USS Liberty because it was a spy ship with mostly civilian employees - NSA etc.

Here's the starter list -

TWA Flight 800 - might be accident
USS Liberty - no accident
9-11 - no accident

Waco
Ruby Ridge
Fed Building

Of course, these are incidents that occurred in the last 50 years. My guess is a comprehensive list would, sadly, be much longer.

What incidents am I forgetting ?

In how many incidents, accidental or intentional, has the US gov. killed US civilians or troops ?

The list could be expanded to include medical experiments (Tuskegee syphylis experiments) and the murder of US soldiers. The plan to send US troops to Iraq was a plan to kill & disable US troops. Certainly the use of DU in Iraq has had the effect of sickening hundreds of thousands of US troops, and their wives.

Playing with the gun director (the radar system that controls the 8 inch guns on Navy ships) while anchored in New York harbor. These guys would track pelicans while flying until the radar cooked the bird and it would fall dead into the sea. They were not particularly careful about sweeping the NYC skyline and would knock out radio and TV reception when they did so. They got complaints and had to stop "playing".

The Lusitania. The Creature from Jekyll Island goes into this in great depth.

Egypt Air flight 990

I think this was a gov/Mossad experiment in remote control. It was made to look like the pilot committed suicide..

that is the way they do things.

but i don't see the "Cui Bono" - how does Israel benefit ?

"Of the total people on board, 100 were American, 89 were Egyptian, 22 were Canadian, and the others were of varying nationalities.[4]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EgyptAir_Flight_990
"Flight 990 was being flown in a Boeing 767-366ER aircraft with the registration SU-GAP, named Tuthmosis III after a pharaoh from the 18th Dynasty."

Tuthmosis ?

with a name like that, perhaps it was doomed.

Remember we are dealing with the Zio-scum here.
They killed 2 birds with one stone.
They ran their test and they killed off a bunch of army brass.

89 were Egyptian

The cui bono of it was the experiment of the remote control and what better experiment than with high ranking Egyptian military officers on board the flight..
