Except for their weekend editions, they are behind a paywall now. I'm splitting a subscription with someone else; do any of you want them?

I used to listen to them most weekends. Filled up a couple of hours. I find their technical analysis good but their dissonance over the market corruption and the stedfast adhesion to traditional analysis techniques (free market based) in face of non free market environment is frustrating. Basically I consider their analysis flawed because of this. They don't recognise that the free market is not a free market but they analyze it like it is free.

Sucks how half of the episodes are for premium members now.

I wouldn't be so sure. Lucky here is not a premium member, yet he's got a hold of them...I can only speculate as to how...

Puplava lives in Carlsbad. has to be careful how much of the truth he tells, or he'll begin to lose customers for his "i'll manage your money" shtick.

but some jewels do slip through.

the interview with the Nanex guy about the Facebook IPO explained a lot about high-frequency trading.

Jim himself has a lot of dough in precious metals, BUT - in their current "Lifetime" series, about a couple nearing retirement trying to manage their money, not one fvcking word about precious metals. yet loads of talk about helping them to preserve their wealth.

they could buy a ton of silver and a comparable $ amount of gold. yet all Puplava talks about are stocks etc.

maybe he gets a bigger commission on stocks ?

I agree with your sentiment but think you are being a little too hard on Jim. He talked about several months ago not to sell your PM's or Miners into this bear market and not to give in to their manipulation. It was very heartfelt and I think he knows the score (somewhat).

Why the advise anyone into a laddered bond portfolio with yields lower than the stated inflation rate is beyond me. I understand old people need fixed income, but if income is all you need than I would be sticking to dividends in secure sectors.

My biggest complaint with Puplava is his lack of an endorsement for Ron Paul. I don't think he is really a fan of any of the other GOP contenders but very rarely do I hear Jim give RP his due. John is way more often the one who will plug Ron and give him credit about his calls. I would assume this is just because living in a Kommunist state Jim doesn't want to lose clients, but IMO, if you are good at making money most people couldn't care less what your political affiliations are.
