A while ago I had correspondence with another really good member
the whole forum will miss.

2 days ago I received another really bad PM from a great knowledgeable member.

This is recent and does not include others going back, good solid posters on issues.

Saw some comments in the open forum as well and others that are absent in posting.

We are all on the same page pretty well.

Book was not mentioned in most of it, there is other stuff going on.

I wouldn't call people who leave "deserters". Everyone, everyday, must make a determination if the benefit of posting outweighs the costs. For some it will, for some it won't. For some it might change from week to week or month to month - depending on both their personal state of affairs and also the state of the forum.

Blink I agree with you but you have to look at the make up of the people here. I would say that the original core of people that joined GSUS during the intentional destruction of GIM came here because they knew things were wrong and this was the first place they landed that was "safe" so to speak.

However out of that core, we have a very interesting group of people that if I were to put number on it, agree about 90% of the stuff that's discussed. They've built relationships and friendships and I think some people are just getting fed up with the stuff that's discussed. Day in and day out we discuss things about the world that are hard to swallow. From my perspective the vast majority of members here have high morals, and understand the difference between right and wrong and do care about his fellow human being.

A marriage would put me at two disadvantages: it would tether me to a sinking ship (i.e. the US), and it would open myself up to a divorce, a disastrous outcome. About half of marriages in this country end that way, and it only gets worse if I reproduce. One of the more egregious examples of vaginamony (commonly known as alimony) is often calculated using 'imputed income' i.e. if the husband really, really tried, he could make $X, so it is calculated based upon $X.

I'm not going to put myself, my money, or my designs at risk. It is in these years that I should be laying the foundations, and I am behind schedule.
