Found seller in violation of CFR Title 16: §23.4(c) for selling quantity of unmarked, claimed to be solid gold various karat gold jewelery repair parts called findings that are unstamped but still being sold in USA.

Found the electronic FTC complaint form easy to navigate. Would suggest if others go this route, they keep several windows open for the purpose of copy/pasting convenience and speed.

Other good things about filing an FTC complaint are:
No auto time out...just a pop-up box warning of 5 minutes remaining while polishing complaint grammar and details...if plaintiff is not done with complaint writing, all plaintiff must do is click okay and time is auto extended.

Immediate assignment of complaint number

Immediate reveal of a phone# to FTC Dept handling complaint, and verification of complaint received upon hitting final submit button.

3500 characters permitted to flesh out details in their "tell us: box"

Happy to report seller has already blocked me from buying anything from them AND refuses to be contacted using any of ebay's normal "contact seller" channels on ANY of their auctions now... with the exception of "ASK A QUESTION" on their original auction which threw up the red flag and has kept open by eBay default for 90 days the avenue of communication between me and this seller. Seller blocked me upon receipt of initial question to seller. I did not know I'd been blocked until I tried to purchase something from them that was affordable and would prove my claim of lawbreaking.

I tried other listings they have up (they have up hundreds and have multiplied thousands of +feedback). My tries only got an eBay pop up box message: saying "seller will not accept emails nor respond."

Seller's reply to my initial question for more information about what they were auctioning claims they are above the US LAW. Learned they are operating out of San Diego.

Hope this helps someone. Just another indication of scammers and schemers.

It's great you've done all this work. Thanks!
Can you post the EBay screen name so others can also avoid?

Until eBay has acted upon this matter, I'm reluctant to do so. However, I did provide the information necessary to know which gold selling category this seller is listing under. Avoid that category (jewelery repair) and GSUS'ers should be okay. I truly suspect they will be changing their seller ID shortly if they've not already done so, so a current name would be moot, in my opinion.

Thank you for your acknowledgement of my effort. It's taken a couple hours to get all the ducks lined up so that the communique with the FTC was concise and factual...ditto eBay. I don't like to mess around when I'm complaining about ebay gold scams.
