Spinach dip

Well its summer and lots of parties and BBQ's to attend, and dip is always a favorite of me and mine.....( and neither of us need the calories) We make hummus, but I have never made spinach dip, since regular store bought has 500 ingredients in it....

I made my own tonight ! yay Mmmmm :)

frozen spinach (cooked and cooled)
Greek yogurt
onions
garlic
water chestnuts
salt
pepper
pimentos, just for color

I know I should know this already, but its a first for me! :)

Oh Zappy ! Sounds so yummy ! I made some recently also and then put it on pumpernickel bread & made cucumber sandwiches. I literally have hundreds of cucumbers right now. The spinach that I grew never really made it, but I have like a dozen boxes of the frozen ones. It's so good in lasagna, too. I could go for some more spinach dip right now !

Sounds very good. I usually add a dash of dill weed to mine.

Also, If I'm taking it to a party I go ahead and use 50/50 Real Mayo and Sour Cream, who care about the calories if other people are eating it? >:D
