So, this week it's pizza. I'm making the crust.

2-1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon honey
1-1/2 cups and 2 tablespoons warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons and 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
2 cups wheat flour
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Combine Water, Yeast, Brown Sugar, and Honey into mixing bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Combine salt, olive oil, and flour.

Next, kneed the dough like you would making bread. Place back into oil coated bowl and let rise to double its size...about 1 hour.

After an hour is up and the dough has risen, pour it out and roll into a tight ball. At this point, I spray my pizza stone with a little Pam to keep it from sticking. Cut this ball in half and roll out the dough in the same of a pizza. After the dough is in place, brush the dough with a little olive oil and sprinkle with a little garlic powder.

Now it's time to add the toppings.

The first pizza will have fresh basil, fresh diced garlic, italian sausage, pepperoni, and fresh grated mozzarella.

Preheat oven to 500 degrees and cook for 15 minutes. I like to use the broiler for about 2 minutes to brown the top if it needs it. Here's the finished product!!

The crust is light and almost fluffy but crispy...if that makes any sense. I'll be making this one again. It didn't take much effort, and tastes better than most pizza I can order.

Thanks and have a good Sunday night everybody!!!
