People think their lives are boring and meaningless and often dream of going to space or somewhere else outside of their current life. Little do they realize they are already in space floating on a rock living on a beautiful colorful living breathing planet, that has wonderment and amazement in every direction.....I love the beauty of life!

Most people cannot see the beauty that is sitting right in front of them. They walk by beauty as if it is some burdensome thing they must 'navigate' around in order to make their lives more convenient.

Absolutely!!! This planet would be PARADISE if it weren't for the people who just won't let other people be... see my .sig line.

“Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws” - Plato

“The devil is an optimist if he thinks he can make people worse than they are.” - Karl Kraus

Three days ago, in my garage, I found a humingbird attached to one of my tool with its wings wide open, at first I thought that it was dead but when I got closer it turned its head to look at me........very, very, very, carefull I folded its wings and pulled him off the tool and took it to my kitchen where I gave it water......the danm thing almost drank half the glass, that tongue was going in and out like a machine gun.....I then heated some honey and it also took in a lot of it....after that I placed him in a big box with a cover in order for it to live or die.......when I came back into the house a while later it was flaying inside of the box, when I took the cover off it flew straight up to the ceiling and evern with the windows and doors open it keep flying against the cealing................it finally got tired and it landed, I gave it more water and honey and held him for a few minutes and the took him outside and let him go......he went up to a tree branch, about ten feet away from me, where he started making this tiny sound and then it took off.

Same thing happened at the hardware store, when I was going in I found a bird on the ground.....it hit himself against the glass door.....I thought that it was dead and I picked him up and held him, I was going to take it home and burried it... but ...in my hands it came back to life and it flew off inside of the store......he was flying in a circle and as soon as someone came in it flew out the door.

To me this is better than anything on tv or the WWW.......this is real life.

I'll tell ya, I took a half day at my new job on Friday and drove 250 miles from Pasadena with Enzo up the 99 to Delhi and the country side is beautiful, and that's the central valley which I consider a dump. Sometimes we have to stop and smell the roses.

On a side note. The Enzoman was awesome, and during his protection training when he was in the sit position the trainer and I were talking about what we were going to do, Enzo tilted his head with this smile on his face like he was happily listening.

Life is amazing, if you stop for a moment, and watch, listen.

I was watching a mother egret, with a little egret. Beautiful big white birds. Egrets are neat birds, almost humanlike body language. Mom was watching the little one, and the baby bird landed on one of the big lines (ropes) we use to tie up the boats. The little one starts to balance herself on the line, she does, then flies down under the dock to hunt. So, mom egret, flies and lands on the same line to watch the little one. She sat the peacefully, balanced, watching her offspring hunt for fish. She looked content and happy. I moved to get closer look. Mom egret spots me instantly, and stiffens up, she looks at me with distrust. Then flies to another area close by, where she could keep an eye on me, and watch her little one. She nestles down, fluffs out her feathers, content again.

Amazing life is all around us, each day, but few take the time to notice.

This is a great thread. I'm on a mini walkabout. This was my last view before disapearing into the Arizona Strip. (googly it)

I really love saltwater aquariums. Ocean life is some of the most beautiful, and being able to bring that into your house is top notch. Aquariums are so peaceful and relaxing. Guests always stopped to look and ask questions more then with any other "decoration" I owned.

They are gone now, but will be back sometime. At one point I had 4 aquariums setup in the house.
