Considering the chemicals that are in the plastic, and that plastic does not break down at all and the very good chance that what ever place they end up in.(Non-recycled) landfills, countryside trash pile, oceans and such.

One zillion years from now and some alien archeologists dig them up.

That they may find a use for them.

So far as the op, I do not care what the state/city, gov, did, it smacks of 'nanny' state behavior!

You know that guys immune system has to be good, with all the goats/cattle and other critters that shit in or around that creek. Take a western person and they try that. Major case of dysentery at the very least, and probably worse.

Go to a country with clean clear water and drink it, there's a reason they say not to drink the water, say drink bottled water...

plastic does not break down at all

Now that's just wrong. Exposure to sunlight WILL break down plastic (and a whole lot of other materials too).

Fun fact: Know why clear polyethylene film (excepting greenhouse film) breaks down much, much faster than the same mil thickness of black polyethylene film?

'Cause the black poly has carbon black in it.

And probably still better for you than plastic water
