Even with the lifting capacity of the Mi-26 at 20 metric tons, the Bernanke is going to be making a LOT of trips to drop all that (figurative) paper.

when i was a kid, my Dad took a job in Greece working for the forest industry. we drove through Europe to get there.

when we were in Italy, in some bigger city, we were walking on the sidewalk when money came raining down - in the street - where there were cars.

being dumb Americans, we ran out in the street and picked up the coins.

i think the young Italian kid who was throwing the money was playing "smash-the-tourist" - he was trying to get one of us run over. he was laughing hysterically, in Italian.

fortunately, the story does not have a tragic ending - except for the Lire.

I can remember that Little Rascals episode and at the end, the mean father realized that his savings would be a lot safer in "a big, strong bank" - brainwashing us way back then of the virtues of banker entrusted savings accounts.

even if it isnt really him as a child, the conveyed imagery is great.

I like the bill that flies on the windowsill and evaporates. That must be deflationary...

ROFLOL... hadnt noticed it, until you told me.... not only that but that bill evaporating clearly points to the real nature of fiat money.

I showed this pic to several people and they all laughed very loudly. Still recovering from my own fit of laughter :)
