According to igon von greyertz on KWN, that's what $150 Ag will translate into.

Get yer expensive colloidal silver backstash topped off now...NOT ionic silver, actual colloidal silver. Big difference. Anyone can make ionic silver.

--Maybe stock up 4-5 years of additional silver solder?

--Stock up on silver treated lumber for that eventual outdoor home improvement project?

--Aquire 4-5 years worth of silver plating paste for renewing worn to copper substrate electrical contacts?

I know a company who makes a silver impregnated lubricant for the nuke industry. Wonder if they are open to buying more. The switched to JIT inventory mgmt back about 4 years ago. I think that decision is going to
come back and bite the heirs who bought out their founding uncle's estate share of the partnership.

At some point, just-in-time non-inventoried silver by products will be consumed and in back-order status. It may be sooner rather than later.

What else? Anyone?

Dunno, but I'd watch the Silver Users Association (http://www.silverusersassociation.org/index.shtml) for answers.

Watch for an increase in the price of electronic equipment of all kinds... most modern microprocessor based equipment contains both Silver and Gold. Also, many modern lead-free solders (which are almost exclusively used now, lead-based solders are going the way of he dinosaur) contain Silver.

Sounds like a perfect "excuse" for eye-popping sticker price shock on the come, with all this hidden, industrial silver applications embedded in consumer goods. Not a fun prospect.

Yes, products containing silver will not increase as much in price as silver. Buy silver instead of the products, sell the silver when you need the product. Silver may increase in price 40x, in a product that doesn't contain a lot of silver the price may only increase 2x. So you get 20 x the product for the silver you bought now!
