James Holmes, 24, is accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 others in the "Dark Knight" shooting. He is no longer sporting the Joker look from his earlier court appearances.

Judge William B. Sylvester denied prosecutors access to a notebook filled with violent imagery, citing a doctor-patient relationship.
The Joker has ditched his costume.
The demented “Dark Knight” shooting suspect James Holmes (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/James+Holmes) appeared in court Thursday without his wild orange-dyed hair, seeming more lucid and animated than in previous hearings.
Now with short brown hair, the clean-cut 24-year-old glanced around the courtroom at reporters and his lawyers and even smiled. At times he appeared to be moving his mouth without talking.
During the hearing, prosecutors abandoned their quest to see a notebook filled with violent imagery Holmes allegedly sent to his shrink, claiming that they did not want to delay the case against the alleged murderer of 12 people in a Colorado movie theater on July 20.
During previous court appearances Holmes appeared to be in another world, alternating between looks of confusion and exhaustion, his bright orange hair serving as a maccabre calling card.
Prosecutors say Holmes committed the premeditated cinema shooting in anger after dropping out of the neuroscience program at the University of Colorado.
Prosecutors say Holmes had been stockpiling guns, ammo and body armor even before failing a key test on June 10.
