Sounds like law enforcement is being primed to respond to upheaval related to the elections. Doesn't mean it's going to happen, all it means is that they are being primed for it.

Has anyone considered this may be a Co in tel pro or some such thing in order to create negative emotions (which the energy vampires then feast on)?

One thing is certain though, there is nothing verifiable in the story...

I think there is greater danger from a major failure of the watermelon crop or mass die off of the nation's chicken population. If the grape blight strikes too, then we're really screwed.

don't forget the nfl refs. they better fix that pretty soon or grape soda drinkers are going to start burning down some shit. they were lucky it was green bay that got screwed and not some team from a diverse state.

Dang the article said the guy was from Arkansas. I'm not saying I believe this but I do live in AR and I live real close to a military installation with thousands of acres. Every morning for the past 2 weeks I can hear way back where their range is, the steady thumping of a 50, every morning...I've heard heard em practicing before but it's usually small arms though still select fire but I've never em hammering away on the 50 like as of late...

About 3 months ago a neighbor kid from down the road stopped as I was out walking and chatted with me.I say kid, he's in his early 20's and was a friend of one of my sons when they were younger. Anyway this is a good kid and he's in the guard now (MP) and waiting to find out if they're going to Afghanistan or not. He tells me they've been training for "the end of the world scenarios" and "the elections"
Says they (whoever they is) think people might start rioting and whatnot. He told me he didn't believe in any of that" end of the world stuff" but they were training for riot control just the same...Just thought I would put in my 2 cents. Probably nothing to it...

If the government is preparing for these scenarios, then it is considering the likelihood of US sovereign debt default. Bernanke and the government are trying to inflate through this fiscal crisis. However, they are aware that China and the BRICs could jump the dollar-ship early and force a treasury default. This would result in an overnight massive dollar devaluation and instant doubling or more of oil prices. Food, gasoline and heating oil would shyrocket and millions presently hanging on to a quasi-middle class existence would fall into abject poverty, cold hungry and bewildered. Mass riots, particularly in the crowded inner cities would be a given.

That is what we have been saying for a long time about those that promote the Occult especially.

You promote " doom in the desert " do you not ?

I don't do doom.

Nice avatar, I am doomed now, Siren's crash ships, doom men, what chance do I have ? LOL !
A lot of these ancient stories are allegory/metaphor, especially from the Classic the Odyssey.
Quite a few stories in there. Look out men. LOL !

No irony. Your post was an unprovoked attack on K-os, with no connection to the thread. If that isn't trolling I don't know what is!

When I met all of you, it wasn't over rose cakes and tea, it was discussing the imminent doom of the system.

It's a huge logical leap to say that K-OS supports anything based on the name, "Doom in the desert" there was doom because we all [the board] became friends with the doom of our civilization as a central theme.

But yes, inciting fear in others does help TPTB. Whenever a notice comes out with absolutely NO information, it simply says "Be scared", I'm very suspicious. I treat it as non-news, because it is.

Yikes. I hope I make it back from my trip this weekend! :o Wish me luck, y'all!

OK. hope you don't NEED luck to make it home safe ! :)

the original story has an "air of credibility" - sounds real - yet is un-verifiable.

but it makes a good conversation piece.

the increase in travel restrictions in the US since 9-11 is very real.

i needed to make a trip to Mexico and was concerned about Iran being attacked while i was on the other side of the border. the normal post-9-11 Customs BS is bad enough.

after Iran is attacked - i'm tempted to go watch just to see how the procedures change.

this year, for sure there were twice as many US Customs Border Protection (CBP) officers as last year, at the border.

the worst border experience i've had was in February 2001. it was like 20 questions - where did you go, who did you see, what do you have in your bag, etc.

i answer calmly. if they ask the same question twice, i don't act like that's super wierd. e.g. i'm standing there with a department store shopping back. the guard says, "where did you go ? what did you do ?" i say, "i went shopping."

the guard asks again, "you went shopping ?"

i say, "i went shopping."

i think they play this stupid game to see your reactions.

I agree, it makes good conversation.

Whether it's real or not, I decided to pack more guns (one for each of my friends), and lots more ammo, because of this thread. Who knows? I am not going to stay home out of fear, otherwise I'd never leave the house. The extra arms and ammo aren't going to cost me anything except for a very slightly reduced gas mileage, and maybe a few side glances from my friends . . . maybe.

A link in the comments goes to a bunch of videos talking about the end of the world happening in Louisiana right now... is this for real?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwYxmLO249M&feature=youtu.be

I don't watch TV or listen to the radio, but if this is happening, I would of expected it to be discussed here... first I've heard of it though.
