You just never know until you're an astronomer with the big equipment. Could be Nibiru is created, and these guys were finding out there was no such thing.

While I do believe Earth and solar system does go thru slow changes over time, or rapid changes relative to its age, Jupiter could be the brown dwarf for us...

I also believe the masters hold the keys to large groups of people, promising them some unavoidable salvation from the chains of slavery.

Maybe these astronomers know too much about something. And whoever is killing them is preventing them from talking. Maybe this is the way they selectively cull the intelligentsia. Based on loyalty or political savvy. People who cannot keep a secret often are victims of foul play.

I think I agree with Ponce's statement. It's not necessarily always about what they know, it's about expertise in this field of research. Wiping out a generation of deep field astronomers (a very specific specialty with only a handful of experts) can easily push the art back decades.

It reminds me of how whenever some artifact or ufo crash is discovered, they always come in and confiscate or simply destroy whatever is found. I don't think it's so much that a specific artifact is something that they are trying to suppress, it's just about keeping us ignorant, in general.
