Do you know where it was sourced from?

Mmmm...this shrimp from Asia is so tasty...how does it get that delicious flavor?

I generally don't eat water creatures. I never understood what was to like about seafood.

Now I have even more reason to go against the grain and reject seafood if it is offered.

I would suggest getting shrimps from the North Atlantic, Greenland, they are smaller, but really you can't beat the flavours! They grow slower because of the cold water, which also give them more flavours and a firmer meat! Really there is nothing better on this planet, eat it on a buttered toast, with iceberg lettuce, boiled egg slices, a fistful of fresh peeled shrimps, two tea spoons of mayonnaise, a lemon slice and a few twigs of dill. Have a beer and an ice-cold Vodka shot to go with it, preferably in the sunset on a warm summer day!

it's part of life. fish raised on a farm, fed pig poop - not a big deal unless it's a vector for disease.

if you like crab & lobster ... just think, they walk around the bottom of the ocean floor. what is THE MOST COMMON substance on the ocean floor ?

fish poop, whale poop, etc.

if you go swimming, you swim in a soup of fish poop. C'est la Vie.

crabs and lobsters are creatures that spend the bulk of their days crawling the ocean floor, eating whatever organic material they can find. at the top of their list ? all that fish poop and whale poop.

i feed my chickens, among other things, a mashed potatoes mixture that contains shredded paper from the paper shredder. that shredded paper, sort of, is "office poop". but it's cellulose, and they like it.

if i raised pigs, and fish, i would do the same. the way the price of bacon is going, my incentive is definitely increasing !

in the meantime, i am growing potatoes in - chicken poop. OK, well, it's composted, along with cow guts. and the worms LOVE IT. and the chickens eat the worms - which eat the chicken poop.

/\ Le Chicken eating Les Wormes that are eating Le Chicken Poop and Los Cow Guts. actually this is Le Potato Patch.

what else is in Le Potato Patch, which is actually built on top of Le Fukushima Free compost pile ?

Oh, yeah. Human manure, aka Humanure, AKA #2. of course, at this point it is all worm castings. #1 primo grade A dirt, radiation free.

and that is my Ode to Poop. :)

Freedom Fries, anyone ?

after reading some similar info a few years ago, i stopped buying any seafood from china, indonesia, viet nam, or any other asian country. the checks and balances system they use for their foodstuffs is deplorable, i wouldn't feed any of it to anything man or animal.

besides, why support their economy when i should be supporting my own. therefore, its canadian made for us whenever and wherever possible.

but hey, that's just me.... ;D

I've never bough Chinese seafood at all, my gut just told me it probably wasn't right. Somehow, my gut knew!
