We watched the live stream. He just touched down. That was crazy!

24 miles up! That's insane! How does your blood not boil on re-entry?

Yes... I was disappointed to see that chute come out with only a few seconds to go... how would he know though?

the chute deployment was automatic.

I wouldn't worry about not getting the "longest fall" record

He got the highest jump ever...clearly the better record of the two!

They have spent years preparing for this...I guess they forgot to pack one of these high tech devices?

Because he was wearing a pressurized space suit similar to what Russian pilots of the high flying MiG-25 wear.

Or what U-2 pilots wear -

I can only imagine the dopamine dump. Also, New Mexico must be just a speck from the jump point. Where he deployed his chute is where they tell you to please fasten your seatbelt.

From where he jumped the atmosphere is so thin it's like a vacuum. Picked up too much speed over 700 mph so he closed the distance to the ground to fast to set a free fall time record.

Some of the better comments:

Yup, it's true - he did it tomorrow.

POW, right in the physics!

Take that, Einstein!

They don't science

Terminal velocity of a human is 117-125mph in random posture. Speed of light: 671 million MPH. I guess he was pretty close.

And that was in free fall. i bet if we gave him a jet pack he would break the sound barrier.

Bless their darling hearts and stupid heads.

No wonder I missed the live footage.

Right now he's alone in tomorrow, waiting for every one else to catch up. BUT WE NEVER WILL! Such a tragic story.

Wrong Factor 9, engage.
