BTW, you're going to love the esee... although I personally prefer the esee 4 or 6 over the 5, I don't like that pommel, makes tang-axis battoning impossible.

Now when you're ready for a true high-end work of cutlery perfection, we'll talk... I picked up a Bark River Aurora (in CPM 3V steel) while I was banned, and it's fucking PERFECT.

As much as I love the big chopper blades, in my mind cutting edge lengths between 4 and 5 inches with a spear point are the best for serious bushcraft/survival/all-around-utility purposes. Of all the hundreds of knives I've handled and owned, the Aurora is just plain the best, based on my needs and preferences. That knife isn't going to leave my side from this point forward... unless I'm sleeping.

I think that's the same model I've got slowbell salivating over... the man knows a good knife when he sees one! ;D

Boy was I out of line with that post. It was a light-hearted one. Janadele, I couldn't care less about....ximmy, was a valued contributor to the forum, whether we agreed with her posts or not. I shouldn't have compared the two.
