If I spent 97% of my time in the back woods drinking beer instead of 3% I'd probably reconsider.
Spend enough time in the gym working out, and eating right, and it's really a non issue.

Well, ok, if you say so.
Next time I head into the back woods I'll keep ear out for you clanking your stealthy stash of bottles around...lol.

This is good news for sports divers. It means they can stay down indefinitely, get all loaded up with nitrogen and just before they come up at the end of the dive have a fellow diver lay some buckwheats on 'em to knock the gas bubbles free. No more 5 hours decompression hanging on a line pooping in your dry suit.
Who wants to be the first to try it?
BIG HINT .... Not me!!!

I like the part where's there's no fizz when you open it after it jumping around in the boat for a lakes length. All gratuitous burping aside, is there a cool sound effect of a can opening without it exploding in your face? ;)
But I digress, I just learned the couple dozen canned beers I drink per year is probably going to give me alzheimers now despite my best efforts at detoxing, eating clean, and exercising regularly. Dammit! Turns out they're pretty damn close to nibbling on plutonium fuel rods.
Coors, why hast thou forsaken me? ;D

I don't know about the whole decompression thing, but I'll try the pooping in the drysuit if nobody else will. :)sal

When it comes to aluminum cans metal ingestion is a long term worry, I'm more concerned with the crap you can wipe off with a wet napkin before opening it! Always some black mystery dust off what looks like clean cans.
And I'm more of a whiskey/wine guy anyway.

If you're worried about what your beer has been in contact with worry about teflon not aluminum because that is what the beer is actually in contact with.
I mean, if you're going to worry about every little thing in your life at least be sure you're worried about the right little things.

Does the cans leach Aluminum? I think all of the cans are coated on the inside, is the coating safe? That is the million dollar question.

Even if the coating is torn, at some places because the can is buckled, I think the amount leached would be miniscule. Elemental aluminum doesn't tend to corrode much in room temperature. Would be interesting to measure the aluminum concentrations of New Yorkers that were close to the WTC on 9/11 and compare them to New Yorkers who weren't? Must have been a lot of aluminum in the dust that day...
