New Jersey of all places is where the latest case of Jury Nullification took place. For smoking cannabis, this guy's first trial was 7-5 in the juror's box. He appealed and got a 0-12 NOT GUILTY verdict.

The cops here in Oregon oppose legalizing marijuana. Not good for their continuing employment interests. The media are against it. I think the governor (Kitzhaber) supports it because he's not commenting on it. But most of the people I know are for it. I don't trust TPTB here, so my optimism is restrained. One good effect it will have will be to keep the Mexican drug gangs out of Oregon, because most of their business is marijuana. The whole country should legalize it. I think that is coming.
