Damn.....talk about scalping...lol ...that wouldn't work here in South Florida, after hurricane Andrew the state passed laws to prevent that sort of activity; post hurricane Andrew I can remember seeing $400 generators being sold on the side of the road for a $1000 and up...lol

I don't blame the sellers but do blame the government for allowing it...... that is a time to help each other.....specially the hotels and food places.

Somebody wrote a blog demonizing the free market, all while using a craigslist ad posting as the 'source' for such a claim? LOL

As if waiting 7-10 hours and dealing with Government red tape is better than letting the free market do its thing. If it was the real 'free market', somebody else would come in and charge only $20, then another competitor would sell for $15, etc....Until you got back down to the REAL market value of gasoline.

I saw somebody trying to hock three generators 1000 bucks a pop everybody told him to pound sand...he was sitting there looking stupid when somebody came in and sold 2 for 700.

Free market works both ways
