http://www.kjct8.com/news/Amendment-64-passes-in-Colorado/-/163152/17298704/-/j0junkz/-/index.html

Colorado voters have approved a ballot initiative to make marijuana legal for adults and regulate it in a manner similar to alcohol.

According to the latest election numbers from Secretary of State Scott Gessler's website, 53.30% of voters are in favor of the amendment and 46.70% of voters opposed the measure.

According to a news release from Amendment 64 campaign leaders, a news conference will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the next steps.

It will be held at the Civic Center Park in Denver.

Amendment 64 removes criminal penalties for possession and home-growing of limited amounts of marijuana, establishes a system of state and locally regulated and taxed marijuana production and sales, and allows for the legal cultivation of industrial hemp, according to campaign leaders.

I agree that allowing the state to tax and regulate it is ridiculous, but MUCH better to have it be legal than illegal. Hopefully this will start a national movement that puts the marijuana cartels out of business.

Not to mention, the stuff grows like a weed. That's a lot different than tobacco or alcohol.

Nope. That is what is different about MJ. You can grow great stuff yourself, unlike alcohol. And once it is no longer illegal to smoke it, people will just grow it themselves and pay no taxes and have no fear of being busted.

This is a good thing.

The Elkhorn Manifesto

What do Hemp and Hitler have in common?
World War II, that's what.

An Open Letter to All Americans
By R. William Davis

PREFACE

Before the Gatewood Galbraith for Governor Campaign in 1991, few Kentuckians knew that the plant that the federal government had demonized for over 50 years as "Marijuana - Assassin of Youth," was, in fact, Cannabis Hemp, the most traded commodity in the world until the mid-1800s, and our state's number one crop, industry, and most important source of revenue, for over 150 years.

Today, thanks to the efforts of pioneer hemp researchers and public advocates such as Galbraith, Jack Fraizer, Jack Herer, Chris Conrad, Ed Rosenthal, Don Wirtshafter and others, the federal government's unjustifiable suppression of our state's right to develop our most valuable and versatile natural resource, is facing increasing opposition from an informed public. Hemp is now recognized as the number one agriculturally renewable raw material in the world, and perhaps the only crop / industry which can guarantee us industrial and economic independence from the trans-national corporations.

"Shadow of the Swastika" is a follow-up to my earlier work, "Cannabis Hemp: the Invisible Prohibition Revealed," which I wrote and published in support of the Galbraith Campaign. Since publication of that booklet, there has been growing public acceptance of the evidence that Marijuana Prohibition was created in 1937, not to protect society from the "evils of the drug Marijuana," as the Federal government claimed, but as an act of deliberate economic and industrial sabotage against the re-emerging Industrial Hemp Industry.

Previous investigations by hemp researchers have been limited to the suppression of free-market competition from the hemp industry, and focused on the activities of three prominent members of America's corporate, industrial and banking establishment during the mid- to late-1930s:

This is a well known fact with anyone who has a brain.

I knew Gatewood, he was a good man who walked the talk he spoke of. Right up to his very end he threw monkey wrenches into the system and exposed them for the bullshit they perpetuate. Do a little research, he drove a car powered by hemp oil and that years ago.

The introduction of Industrial hemp alone would revolutionize this country, again, just as did before. The decriminalization of recreational reefer only furthers our cause for liberty and self sustainability.

Great... just great.... Over the years I have had to worry about noticeable electric use along with light leaks, escaping smells, and so called friends. Now I'll have to hermetically seal my friggen closet to keep out all the crap pollen that will come courtesy of noobie, uneducated growers who think they're the shit because they grew some bagseed....

Personally, I'd rather remain a closet criminal.....

Yah, I'm a pot-snob.

Keep your grow area under positive pressure and use hepa filters on your air intake. Just like the cdc super bug people do in hot zones.

Hey Dogman, I was thinking electro-static filtration, any partical in the air will recieve a positive charge and then stick to the metal plates. The system would use MUCH less electric and would be completely silent.

You have seen what I would build on tv where you see them wipe the metal plates with a wet sponge to clean the dirt, dander and pollen off of them.

You have seen what I would build on tv where you see them wipe the metal plates with a wet sponge to clean the dirt, dander and pollen off of them. Electrostatic would be a big plus, the thing is you would need a way to slow the airflow down for the effect to work, tho pollen is very small so the static attraction would be very effective. The slower the air flow through the filter (s) the greater the filtration.
