Aside from a controversial conference call with donors (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/newt-gingrich-romney-gifts-comments-175918743--election.html), Mitt Romney has kept a low profile since losing the 2012 presidential election to Barack Obama.
The former Republican nominee was spotted with his wife, Ann, at a screening of the new "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn — Part 2," in Del Mar, Calif., on Saturday. According to TMZ, the pair later "hit up a pizza place across the street."

On Monday, a photograph of Romney filling up at a gas station in La Jolla, Calif., was posted to Reddit.com.
"Mitt Romney at my local gas station," Reddit user mkb95 wrote (http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/13hs4e/mitt_romney_at_my_local_gas_station_he_looks/). "He looks tired and washed up."

Romney's hair appears to be slightly frazzled, unlike the slicked-back coif he sported on the trail—though it's nothing like Al Gore's post-2000-election-loss beard (http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/the_gist/2001/08/beards.html). Other Reddit users countered that the former Massachusetts governor merely looked annoyed at having his photo taken at the pump.

"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank," the photographer added. "I guess he's moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla."
That would appear to be in line with what those close to Romney thought he'd do after the election—spend more time with his family (the 65-year-old has five sons and 18 grandchildren) and permanently move to California, where he owns a $12 million mansion.

Why would ANYONE want to move to Calif? I guess if your net worth is so high that a few million in more taxes doesn't affect your lifestyle than it's no biggie.

Maybe he will run for governor.

La Jolla is a beautiful place, best weather in California! Nice mix of people, not many Mexicans.
I lived there for a little while and would have stayed if I could have afforded it.
Great place to retire for those that have the means.

The beach (surf) area is very short, it's difficult to find your way down there (by car). The waves are huge and the beach is very short! But the funny thing is, if you get down there early enough, groups with swim fins somehow negotiate there way out and back, brave souls they are! The seals are a treasure as well.

Minus romney, it's a wonderful area.

He just got 300 million for failing. Those taxes are being paid by the proles if he actually pays an amount in the 6 figures or above.

I'm in sales and have never have earned a commission coming in second place. However, in the world of the elites and fuck sticks like this prick I guess there are unicorns, candy rainbows and a pot of gold.

Not everyone signs their checks on the front like you. Most people who move/live here sign their checks on the back.

I was thinking about his overall chances vs. every other candidate from the Republicans,

anyone of them would've been a better choice for the Republicans.

Like who? Gary Johnson that was pushed by the Libertarian party? That guy is a fucking buffoon. This country has only two paths at this point because of all the corruptness, communism, or a civil war. The god damn writing is on the wall.

Most likely he would've won by landslide.

I'm not saying any of them would have made a difference (besides R.P. of course)

I'm just thinking of how stupid & broke dick the Republican party is in general.

To put a corporatist slug up at this juncture, was just plain dip-shitedness.

Pictures just don't do justice,

you have to be there to feel the particulate pollutant matter acid from car exhaust on your skin.

I just filled up another spare gas can with 5 gallons of diesel. I have enough now to drive from here to Sweden I think, if I could keep mileage at 50 mpg, which is no problems with a speed of around 50 mph... I'll draw the line when Izzy invades Lebanon, or Turkey Syria...
