Just wouldn't be a Black Friday without the obligatory Walmart style shoppers chimpout thread.

how did you do that ?
i thought it was only possible with this software to have one video per thread.
anyway, Walmart Black Friday chimp-out - yes, the term "Black Friday" does seem appropriate.
I bought a CD player for $20, marked down from $35. I did my bit ! :)
At some stores the big sales occur when people get their new toys home, and decide to return them.
I suggest checking at the local stores starting Sunday morning, if you want to buy a new toy, like a Mac laptop or big-screen TV.
It's a lot less crowded and the prices can be remarkably low. But you have to be ready to move fast, which means knowing the prices so you what's a good deal, what's a great deal, and what's a really great deal.
I say, generally, hold your 'powder' until the really great deal comes along. Just takes patience, it will definitely happen.
Guy at the Internet cafe just bought a brand new Macbook Pro with a 17" screen for $1200, normally they're $2000+.
Toilet paper for 25 cents a roll - that's a good deal, if it's 2 ply.

Good advice. Because once you buy something, you're stuck with it. Even if something better comes along and you have the money, you already have what you bought.

For the record I went to Black Friday today around noon and it didn't seem really that busy. I went to a local big box sporting goods store. It was a like a slightly busy, considering the current depression we are in. I bought a bunch of high caliber ammo (mostly shotgun shells for zombies) IN CASH for the low Black Friday prices and was out. The only unusual thing was that employees did look tired and were complaining about working so many hours. I guess I don't get the whole thing of waiting in line for "deals". I think just going in noon I missed the "big crowds".

My husband gets up in the middle of the night and goes out in it. Of course we are polar opposites and I don't get it,
but I think some people get a rush from it. I think he gets all psyched about whatever is out there. I don't get it, but these people have a level of tolerance for insanity that I just don't possess. When they get what they set out to get, they feel a sense of accomplishment for going what they went thru to get it . I asked a friend why do you like to go out on Black Friday so much, it's so crazy. She said, IT'S FUN.
OMG. Fun ??

how did you do that ? i thought it was only possible with this software to have one video per thread. I manually type " " ("video" without quotes) around the youtube url. For some reason the embed icon in advanced edit is hit and miss for me. Was trying to find a bunch images of people camping out from Thursday in tents from another site, can't find it. All that time, effort, and discomfort to save $20 - $30. Crazy people!

HAha MnEagle !! I don't know, I don't pay attention to be honest. Seems to be stuff like this, tho, I think:
puter stuff, and electronic stuff ? hunting stuff, toys , I don't know. he's a shopper tho, a very, very good one....
brags about the deals he gets all the time. I swear he's got nerves of steel. The chaos doesn't bother him.
He comes home in a good mood. I'd be a psycho woman. Oh wait...

LOL so funny OHL mine was a shopper too.... just freakin loved to spend money , ( getting the great deal ) he just loved to shop , in fact he did 90 % of all the shopping (in fact I just broke my sunglasses and looked in a drawer and there they were 2 new pair of sunglasses for me! 3 years later)
I just can't take the crazy shoppers, I would be a nut, but he just loved it!

EXACTLY what I have here. weird !! He LOVES to shop !
thank you for telling this. Your late husband and mine have many similarities, Zap.
I noticed this about many other things you have said about him before also.
ETA: nub helped me out before just so you know, he was a very kind man.
I remember one time I was having a problem with my soap--Dr Bronners soap-- and he explained to me that I was using it correctly ( I thought I wasn't ) and he told me it was my WATER that was the problem not the soap ! turned out he was EXACTLY right !

I did my part, I bought a 35.00 box of fish oil for 13.00 from a Vitamin shop. I didn't leave my house until AFTER 7 pm. I waited for the zombie herds to die off first

I have to LMAO...Gray Thursday and Black Friday were for naught! It wasn't even a wash, sales were down 1.7% or so overall. The big box boys only managed to increase their overhead and generally piss people off.
