Country singer Trace Adkins is defending wearing a confederate flag decorated earpiece during the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.
The decision to sport the earpiece sparked criticism across the Web by those who view the confederate flag as a symbol of racism and oppression.

Adkins posted this note on his personal blog..... “As a proud American I object to oppression of any kind. To me, the battle flag represents remembrance of my Southern lineage – I am a descendant of Confederate soldiers who followed that flag into battle. I advocate for the preservation of America’s battlefields and honest conversation about our Country’s history.

To those who view the flag as a symbol of racism, that was not my message and I did not intend offense.”
A representative for Adkins couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

I really hate the way the Confederate flag has been labeled a racist flag and the battle between the states was to end slavery. What BS More zio revision of history and the emasculation of the white males in our culture
