Ok ... so it is just a pile of metal. So you would probably have to pick the last pilots brains out of the alternator. Having a homebuilt P51 is a project that you could look back on with fond memories as you decay in a nursing home. And only 50 grand. What a bargain.

North American P-51D.

Real P-51D with real paper work and data plate.

Serial # 44-84850

Crashed at Chandler AZ.

Will need complete rebuild.

Rolls Royce Engine has 140 SMOH

That 140 SMOH would be really impressive IF THE PLANE HADN'T RUN INTO A BRICK WALL. The seller is a bit optimistic about requiring a complete rebuild. This thing needs a magician.

The BIN price is $275K - for that kind of money one can buy a Sukhoi sport plane with a fresh engine or a L-39 Albatross with plenty left over for many hours of flying fun.

Needs a rebuild? Rebuild usually means something resembling the original form is still in tact no?

That thing is hamburger!

A coat of paint, some fresh wiring, and call it a day!
