Where there's smoke there is fire. Pretty easy to run node, and list off all the IP addresses, or run a nic in promiscuous mode into your setup.

Same with the "anon" proxy sites. Find a winsock proxy, run one yourself, or sheep along, and cross your fingers.

Same as going anywhere in person. Chances of being surveilled in various locations rise, and fall depending on location.

It's not paranoia if they're really out to get you! ;)

Tor uses StartPage as it's default browser. Startpage is "enhanced" by Google. Google is enhanced by the Pentagon. The Pentagon is enhanced by Darpa.

Startpage is Google (results) via proxy server. The benefit is you get IPaddress anonymity (by proxy).

If they don't keep logs as they advertise, then it's a brilliant scenario.
