While economic textbooks claim that people and corporations are competing for markets and resources, I claim that in reality they are competing for money - using markets and resources to do so. So designing new money systems really amounts to redesigning the target that orients much human effort.

I agree with the premise, but isn't money just the easiest method by which to obtain markets and resources? People don't really want stacks of paper tickets, they want the stuff they can get with the paper tickets.

I don't know, I think those claiming the title "Billionaire" would contest that point of view

Also, the "manufacturing of demand" indicates that the majority of markets and resources are being exploited for their monetary content.
