yes, i let them walk around on the hardwood floor. i inevitably step on a turd or 2. got special paper towels, walk around doing turd duty.


also, the shit is like gold. i shovel out the chicken coop and it goes into the wheel barrow and then over to the Worm Compost pile. the worms love it, for them it's like a Rib-eye steak, the muck from the bottom of the chicken coop.
