"It is time for this kind of senseless violence to end. There won't be one perfect law to stop a crazy person from doing evil things. But when we have close to 30,000 killings a year from all types of gun violence, even if we save a few lives, we make progress."

Did they pull this stat out of their assess?

Did they pull this stat out of their assess?

Maybe, but they also always include suicides-by-gun in their statistics for "killings".

Now at least three senators who were formerly 'pro-gun' are siding with the gungrabbers, this time it's Harry Reid (big surprise there) -

"Two US Senators became the first of America's pro-gun advocates to break ranks on Monday night as they called for a ban on assault weapons in the wake of the Sandy Hook elementary school shootings."

"Never before have we seen our babies slaughtered. It's never happened in America that I can recall, seeing this carnage," said Senator Joe Manchin, who in 2010 released a political advert touting his NRA endorsement and showing him with a hunting rifle 'taking aim' at a piece of climate change legislation.

"Anybody that's a proud gun owner, a proud member of the NRA, they're also proud parents, they're proud grandparents. They understand this has changed where we go from here," the West Virginia senator said on MSNBC.

Those thoughts were later echoed by Mark Warner, a senator for the rural, gun-loving state of Virginia, who has said gun control could no longer be a subject for partisan feuding between Republicans and Democrats.

"I believe every American has Second Amendment rights, the ability to hunt is part of our culture. I've had a NRA (National Rifle Association) rating of an "A" but, you know, enough is enough," Mr Warner said on CBS News.

and they've done such a great job of having Americans' interests at heart.

2013 = Obamacare + big push for more gun control, and they won't be talking about using 2 hands.

Story keeps changing. i read that the shooter left the AR-15 bushmaster in his vehicle and used his mothers handguns to commit the murders.

Handguns aren't classed as assault weapons but correct me if i'm wrong.

Then again i read he had access to a shotgun which wasn't used and doesn't qualify as an assault weapon but the damage one can inflict with one at a close range is even greater than with an assault weapon.

Their agenda is so obvious it's painful.

They cannot protect us and yet they want to take away the very means we have of protecting ourselves.

They can go have sexual intercourse with themselves.

They can go have sexual intercourse with themselves.

There is no use in giving them some encouragement in an endeavor they enjoy.

They would bitch if they didn't get paid a salary, but the insider trading, bribes and "lobbying perks" they get more than make up for it - far surpassing their official salary, by leaps and bounds.

The Senate is useless.

"Never before have we seen our babies slaughtered. It's never happened in America that I can recall, seeing this carnage," said Senator Joe Manchin

It's kind of like the overlooked part of thec1st amendment, where it says its for asking .gov for a handout.

I remember debating what a POS Scott Brown was on GIM and how he was not on "our" team and some got emotional about it because he had an R next to his name so he must be good.

Power hungry POS.
He proves it again.

The outgoing Massachusetts senator had previously said states should decide their own gun laws. His change of outlook comes as his name has risen to the top of candidates to run in a potential special Senate election.
