How many news reporters would get fired on the spot for treating guests like that?

That fact that this guy still has a job tells you exactly who he is, and why he's on TV.

If there's no apology put out by him for his behavior, then you know this Piers guy is full on.... you know what.

In spades.

They are not secured in Holsters.

I think I'm having pretty good success arguing against gun control. How can you even have the gun control debate when the government is so reckless and untrustworthy? At that point you can point to the millions of things we talk about every day, especially things like fast and furious, and killing americans with drones. Just argue "we could have gun control if the government was reasonable, responsible, and worked in our best interest. But the reality is within the last couple years they did a, b, c, d, e, f, g...x, y, z. If only they cleaned up their act, we could discuss this assault weapons ban you speak of."

Not mentioned in the interview, but a powerful argument.

That POS Morgan had another one of his 'forums' earlier with John Lott on there. And of course Morgan kept shouting down Lott's reasoned arguments and so rudely interrupting Lott which Morgan is best at (and not allowing him to speak, they even cut off Lott's mic and went to commercial when Lott started taking ground) while he continued to foam at the mouth like the rabid dog he is.

Correction: CT School Shooting-Gun Control story
WASHINGTON (AP) - In a story Dec. 16 about the Newtown, Conn., school massacre, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the attack was the bloodiest against youngsters in the nation's history. The bombing of a school in Bath, Mich., on May 18, 1927, killed 38 children. The bomber, a disgruntled school district official and farmer, also killed seven adults that day, including his wife and himself. The attack in Newtown left 20 schoolchildren and eight adults dead, including the shooter and his mother.

A corrected version of the story is below:
<skip a bit>

The massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., one of the bloodiest attacks against youngsters in the nation's history, stands as a possible tipping point after Washington's decade-long aversion even to talking about stricter gun laws.
So it seems in the stunned aftermath, judging from President Barack Obama's body language as much as his statement. "We have been through this too many times," said the famously composed president, this time moved to tears. "We're going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics."
It remains to be seen whether Sandy Hook will break the usual cycle of universal shock fading into political reality. That reality is based on a combination of powerful gun lobbying and public opinion, which has shifted against tougher gun control and stayed that way. However lawmakers react this time, it's the president's call whether the issue fades again or takes its place alongside the legacy-shaping initiatives of his time, with all the peril that could mean for his party.

With the murder rate less than half what it was two decades ago, and violent crime down even more in that time, gun control has declined as a political issue.
....................

....................
After the movie-theater attack, Obama declared "we should leave no stone unturned" to keep young people safe in a speech indicating he would challenge Congress to act on gun control. That expectation lasted for one day. The White House swiftly clarified that Obama would not propose stiffer gun laws this election year and favored more effective enforcement of existing law - a position hardly distinguishable from that of his Republican rival, Mitt Romney.

Likewise, early last year, Obama weighed in on guns after an assailant killed six people and wounded 13, shooting then-Rep. Giffords in the head outside a grocery store in Tucson, Ariz. The president called for "sound and effective steps" in gun laws as part of a "new discussion on how we can keep America safe for all our people." He soon went back to silence on the topic and gun-control advocates waited in vain for the steps.

With his last presidential campaign behind him, Obama is freer to take up contentious matters that he wouldn't touch when he was an incumbent seeking re-election. Odds are favorable that he will have at least one vacancy to fill on a Supreme Court now closely divided on gun cases.

"Brits tend to do that, don't they?"

in response to Morgan's exclamation that self-defense is complete nonsense.

Why is nobody mentioning the guy in Oregon Mall that was spying the shooter?

That's always the best way to end a debate that you've lost, or have no way of continuing to defend its position.

Piers Morgan is an utter empty suit mouthpiece who will say anyhting to pander to the liberal left. I'd say he has mastered the art of the virtual TV blowjob. What a fucking demagoguing leading-question false-premise strawman-throwing windbag. And sanctimonius does not begin to describe his arrogance. How anyone can watch TV with human garbage like this given a microphone is beyond me. If I were him, I'd be afraid to walk the streets because there are a lot of folk who are going to have a strong temptation to punch his smug visage into next week. And he deserves all the hostility he gets.
