"The latest in a string of privacy-related controversies for Facebook comes from its newest acquisition, Instagram.

Facebook has announced that all public photos submitted to the photo sharing app can be sold to advertisers without specific consent or notification."

"Instagram may sell your photos to “a business or other entity” for use “in connection with paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you.” This has largely been assumed to mean that advertisers would collect user-submitted photos for use in advertising or other materials. One commentator argued that the change would turn Instagram into the world’s largest stock photo agency."

THERE THEY GO AGAIN !

It wasn't enough for Zuckerberg to steal the IP of his computer consulting clients when he was at Harvard.

It wasn't enough for the Warner Brother's to steal Edison's motion picture invention a century ago.

It's not enough to have an FBI whose primary mission is to stop the 'pirating' of Hollywood Intellectual Property (IP).

The Duplicity of the Jews in Media Matters in the US and world-wide - knows no bounds.

If you're Jewish, the FBI & the US court system exist to protect your IP.

If you're a Gentile, the Jews @ Facebook claim the right to steal your IP.

All of those sites claim the rights to your content. Gmail and so on. I advise people not to use those services for business because once your email or documents are on there, they mine the information for useful data. Things that might include propritary or intellectual property.

I encourage people to set up a Diaspora* pod as their social networking solution. It's open source social networking software where you own your own information and can share what you want with who you want.

You can host it on your own server or join an existing server to host your profile.

one of the reasons i don't do web searches for proprietary technical concepts.

if you have a truly innovative idea, if you do a web search for those terms you are basically giving the idea to Google, Yahoo, M$ for data-mining.

in that case i might do a web search for some of the search terms that describe the concept, in a 'tangential' sort of way ... related products, etc.

but if you a do a web search for the exact idea - and it really is a good idea - you've just given that concept to Google & all the other data sniffers in their chain of command & data-sharing - nice /sarc people like the NSA, CIA, Mossad, etc.

Instagram Posts Update: "To Be Clear: It Is Not Our Intention To Sell Your Photos" (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-12-18/instagram-posts-update-be-clear-it-not-our-intention-sell-your-photos)

Kind of funny that facepuke pulled the same stunt with another company they bought after trying it once before on their own prior to their IPF (Initial Price Flop).
