Government uses trick words all the time to make you consent to being something you may not be. Citizenship is only about political power. If you have not exercised political power recently (or ever) then why not look at experimenting with a simple test, one that will establish in your own mind precisely what the limits of your own political authority actually are. Pick something simple, like requesting the county treasurer to provide you with his authority to occupy an office on your behalf, or a letter to the sheriff of the county asking why he takes direction from the county attorney or if he takes his orders from others in the county, state or federal government.
Take the time to analyze the result. I expect you will be ignored. If so then you have received an answer as to your own role in the political scheme of things.
Here is a writeup that puts the status of citizen, inhabitant and domicile into relation to each other. Another trick word is resident.

Having a "Land Patent" makes you into a citizen with the right to vote for anyone and to make a comment in a city hall meeting.....not only that, you then have a real "Private Property"........YOU PEASENTS..... hahahahhahhaa.

Today, citizen, inhabitant and resident are distinctions without any real difference. Yes, a citizen gets to vote, but how meaningful is that when vote fraud is universal, and it really doesn't matter who you vote for, you get the same thing. How is that more valuable to anyone than not being able to vote at all? Also, does a citizen get the protection of the society? What is that worth when the police don't have the duty to protect anyone? Do you have more legal rights if you are a citizen than you do if you are a resident or inhabitant? What you are suggesting, Palani, is that we explore those rights and privileges, and that we confirm for ourselves that the body politic does not recognize any such distinctions in status in any real meaningful way. Sorry to be so cynical, but being a citizen is not all it's cracked up to be. How do you prove you are a citizen if you aren't naturalized? And why bother? You can be deported through rendition even if you are a citizen. What advantages do people have for being citizens? I say none.

Indeed, there seem to be many many more 'freebies' for the non-citizens, that are not allowed to citizens.
Seriously, how often do you hear the term citizen in real life? Very rarely. It's either the taxpayers or the consumers. Saying citizen might make people think they have some rights... & they can't have that!

"Consumer." How quaint. So 20th century.
From inhabitant, to citizen, to consumer, to bobble headed taxpayer, to useless eater?

Does personal political status, citizenship, land patents, closing bank accounts, regaining sovereign status, etc., et al really matter when the legal system & political organizations operate under color of law? How many times have we seen "rule of law" violated for "law of rule?" There is no justice unless you can afford it, so it becomes a matter of keeping your head down & avoiding contact with all levels of the system.... Cause they don't give a crap about your status, land patents, etc... pay & obey, obey & pay is their rules.... Of course they have great incentives to perpetuate this style of rule via their annual bonus & pension plans... Hope my interpretation of the system is wrong, but it sure appears this what it has grown into & become....

Owning land in sufficient quantity makes one an 'elector' rather than a 'citizen' or 'voter'.

The 'protection' offered a citizen is the same that the mob offers a storeowner: 'Pay your insurance and we won't burn you out.'
If you have never read this book I highly recommend it.

'Freebies' from foreign potentates result in more obligations than benefits. The hidden strings attached are substantial.

Now this is why I suggest a test of your political powers. You either have political powers or you don't. Trying to make an assumption of the powers at your disposal and then finding that you are wrong is not something you would care to find out partway into a project. Quite possibly your view of your status is entirely wrong. Find out now and avoid many problems down the road.
I have no problems with others having a view that they control the process of selecting candidates as long as presenting those candidates for review by me is done prior to their taking office. My position is clear. The successful office holder MUST send me a copy of his oath and bond and a proper letter of introduction would be advisable as well. If they don't do this then they are not in my government and are personally responsible for any injury they do me.
Can I hold their feet to the fire? Actually I have more resources to do so than they do. If they must defend and their attorney charges $2,000 for ever paper filed then I might not win but I can sure make it expensive for THEM to not lose. In the mean time all it costs me is some time and energy to come up with court documents, an enjoyable diversion to occupy the time and throw monkey wrenches into the works.
