Anyone still pay attention to Marc Faber? He was sort of popular among economic doomers a few years ago- I guess he "shares" the title "Dr. Doom" with Nouriel Roubini, who I also haven't heard much from in awhile. I guess we become jaded & stop paying attention when doom ISN'T 6-8 months away as most of us have expected for years.

Here Faber is preaching "austerity" and talking like the US/West will be in real pain in 5-10 years from now... what about now?! And he's bullish on S.E. Asia, though the current GDP #s he speaks of don't really impress!

A Cassandra is a hopelessly honest person, while a Pollyanna is an incredibly hopeful person, the incurable optimist. Cassandras are often disparaged as "nattering nabobs of negativism/negativity," instead of being looked upon as prophetic realists, while Pollyannas are deservedly dismissed as the "pandering puppies of positivity/positivism." To wit, this wondrously self-satirical clip pitting Marc Faber's doom-and-gloom reality with Becky Quick's boom-and-boom status quo.

Farber is predicting a market crash with DOW down 20% or more within the next two years.

Becky Quick is oh so hot hot hot. I know she has sold her soul to the MSM. But, I am willing to overlook this small flaw if I can have her for a little while.
