The gungrabbers are wanting us to believe that this is how successful their recent 'buyback' in LALA was recently - note how many very nice and expensive semi-autos are in this picture, especially note that there's a Streetsweeper/Striker-12/Protecta drum mag shotgun (a gun arbitrarily made subject to NFA rules about 20 years ago) with a folding stock on the very back of table along with a HK 91 style rifle with a very expensive telescoping HK stock (the one on the HK bipod in the left back) -

I remember when i was bejng targeted by these asshats they had they gall to tell my gun G17 are used in lots of crimes

When i spoke with a gun attorney he started laughing because the truth is most criminals cant even afford to get thier hands on a top teir gun like a Glock. It will more like be a rusty revoler someone stole from their grand pops and it will only have 1-3 bullets

Your average criminals dont run with HK,s and ARs unless they are isrealis then they get the best stuff on the planet

Aren't all those AR's illegal without the bullet button in them? Did they commit a felony by removing the magazines? At least one "owner" had the common sense to put a sling on the semi-auto long gun.

Rocket launchers surface during Los Angeles guns buyback

When Los Angeles police moved up their annual Citywide Gun Buyback (http://www.lapdblog.org/) program to this week, they collected an arsenal that included 75 assault weapons, 698 rifles, 363 shotguns, 901 handguns and — more surprisingly — two rocket launchers.

The weapons, essentially long metal tubes once capable of firing rockets, lacked the projectiles and parts needed to fire them, but even so had no place on the streets, police said.
"Those are weapons of war, weapons of death," said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, according to the Los Angeles Times (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/12/two-rocket-launchers-in-gun-buy-back-inert-lapd-checking-origins.html). "These are not hunting guns. These are not target guns. ... they have no place in our great city."

Police said the people who brought in the weapons told police that they came from family members who served in the military and no longer wanted rocket launchers in their homes, the Times reported.
LAPD was planning to check with the military to determine the origins of the launchers, police said.
As it turns out, these were not the first launchers to turn up at a gun buyback. Last May, when the event was timed for Mother's Day, one of these large firearms surfaced in Los Angeles.
This year, the total number of weapons turned in was 400 more than last year, despite the event being moved forward by several months in response to the recent mass shootings at Newtown, Conn., Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said, speaking on Thursday.

Declaring the annual buyback a success, and an important piece of the city's violence reduction efforts, Villaraigosa said:
Assault weapons and even two rocket launchers were included among the firearms handed over to Los Angeles police. NBC's Natalie Morales reports.

Perhaps the greatest testament to the success of the program was "the 166 weapons surrendered by residents in exchange for nothing. They just gave them back."

Most people received grocery store gift cards for turning in weapons — up to $200 per firearm, depending on the type.
Heading into the New Year celebration, Villaraigosa issued a warning to Angelenos who chose to keep their guns: "Firing a gun in the air is a felony."
"Don't fire your guns in celebration. But if you do in the city of Los Angeles, we will go after you. If you do it in the county, the sheriff will go after you."

But if your a criminal not only can you fire them but you have the added bonuses of robbing and killing because our Buget is restriced to punish lawful citizens

So you guys have at it and have a "perosperous" new year

Those lying rat bastards - LAWS rocket launcher tubes are single use only and there's NO law which prevents possession of this CLEARLY inert item (don't you know that if it COULD be reused the BATFags would have already classified it to be subject to NFA rules) anymore than those inert pineapple hand grenades that are found for sale everywhere (LAWS tubes are completely useless while conceivably those inert grenades *could* be 're-purposed'). Of course this comes from LALA the shitty which bombards us all with movies which have completely senseless, unimaginable gratuitous violence.
