We are preserving that land for the Republic of China fas payment of bonds........here, = to three blocks from me and to about 80 miles away the government is taking the land from those living there and that was what got me into land pateng...........and YES the government can take the land away from you even with a land patent....but....ony if your land will be taken for the good of all and not to be shut it down 100% as is going to happen here.

Ponce while I don't always agree with you, I truly think you might be on to something.

You can also tell by the sky-high prices they charge for internet, etc. Unbearable taxes will be another way to chase people off the land.

part of the problem in this case is the people there are not regenerating, the population is shrinking and the local economy was/is tied to mainly one industry which is in decline due to several factors, it sucks but I'm sure if you looked around you'll find the same condition in many other places, I suppose you could say it's one of the reasons for the decline of Detoilet MI, certainly not the main reason, but one important one, like he said the company owned the town and when business goes south, so does the town, beautiful country up that way it's a shame....another note, that county is 1½ times the size of LA county to the south and while LA Co has a pop. of almost 10mil, this county has a pop. of 45k, I'm surprised they've held on as long as they have.
