The Sandy Hook School campus was a perfect location, isolated very well. Not at all possible for anyone to get an eyeball on that school after the incident, it may as well have been located on Mars. I have no doubt that these locations are scouted out years in advance. Gotta keep those prying eyes away.

e.g. the Giffords shooting, the Columbine shooting - something like that will happen by March 31.

Exactly. There was a documentary debunking Aurora less than, what, 30 days after the incident? Then the sandy hook thing was 10x worse to try to make it unquestionable, but the whole thing was botched with no body having any idea even what weapons were used. If they try jacking up by 10x again beyond sandy hook, they run into some serious problems.

Maybe instead of demonizing the guns, they will take the domestic terrorist angle. Like the DC sniper thing, but with "tea party extremists".

It's got to be. Then the primary argument of "we're guaranteed the right to bear arms in case the government becomes corrupt" all of a sudden causes your friends and family to report you to the DHS and activates the patriot act.

I think the next one has to resonate with as many people as possible. It also has to resonate with the right group. With this in mind, I'm guessing highrise office building.
