I'd get the NAA Sidewinder (http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?65841-North-American-Arms-Sidewinder), but no one knows when that comes out.

I also have been considering getting the Ruger LCR, or the Glock 26 myself too.

Are you going to carry it on your person or just in the truck? Makes a big difference.

the truck mostly, maybe around my land now & then. not my main ccw pistol, that is the s & w .380 bodyguard.

For a truck gun, any combat handgun would do.

LCR is pretty rugged, but it's lighter than a steel gun. I have the LCR-22 and I like it.

one of my neighbors hit a deer in front of my property. it's leg was shattered bad and it was still alive.

he had what he said was a .38 handgun. shot it through the top of the head. i'm pretty sure the first shot was enough, but it kept moving and the neighbor was a little freaked out. so he shot it again, same place, and it stopped moving.

i was a little surprised that one shot with the .38 was not 'conclusive'.
