Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government's right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma'am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston
Cpl, United States Marine Corps
2004-2012

The marine wrote a beautiful letter but spelled the senator's name wrong. The correct spelling is FINESWINE.

I will not register my weapons ...

That is a terrible letter and practicing paper terrorism is not something you really want to do. For one thing, while the guy has a right to defend himself with 'arms' the system has carved out weapons as a different class. As an alternative to make it legally binding you need to either publish a notice at the courthouse or in the legal section of a circulated newspaper for several days then record the affidavit from the publisher. Something like

Let the public take notice: That Joshua Boston being a peaceful sentient man has a recognized right to defend himself and to that end possesses various arms and armaments. Said tools carried for the stated purpose may possess characteristics that would require registration should any other man carry them as weapons. They are not weapons when Joshua Boston has them in his possession because he is not offensive. He is honest, straightforward and trustworthy and if these tools for self-defense are not in direct view then they shall not be considered concealed because you now have this notice.

and i appreciate his attempt to be well-spoken, but ... 'respectfully submitted' ?! he's just being diplomatic.

but with Dianne Feinstein ... i mean Diarrhea FeinWhine/Frankenstein (whatever :) ) ... she's not going to consider his position just because he's right AND he's diplomatic.

it's her way or the highway.
