I think that is part of it. Also it still requires a lot of development, but we really should be doing it.

Exactly, I read about thorium probably about 20 years ago. It was then being pushed as a safe energy generating medium that would eventually be the norm in the future. I even bought stocks in the companies that were to convert the reactors over. But that was way before I knew how deep the rabbit holes go.

Norway got shittonnes of the stuff amongst other energy resources, but we pay more for energy than most other countries.. the socialist scumbag mofos rationalize it with "average income". So even though we have probably the largest thorium deposits in the world I'm not optimistic because i see how our gas gets sold abroad, our petrol is taxed over 80%, our electricity gets dumped on the european market for pocket lint at the same time we have to pay usurious prices for it etc.
Can't have nationalistic tendencies when certain international elements have ownership of our resources.. and of course if we suddenly got sensible leadership that wants the best for the population the UN will declare war on us and claim that we got a dictator on the throne.
Damn i hate the leadership of my country.. sorry for ranting.
Bottom line is that the people wont have any benefit of it as things are today under the current economic order.
