JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Israeli Sephardic leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef in his weekly Saturday night sermon said that non-Jews exist to serve Jews.


“Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the People of Israel,” he said during a public discussion of what kind of work non-Jews are allowed to perform on Shabbat.


"Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat," he said to some laughter.


Yosef, the spiritual leader of the Shas Party and the former chief Sephardi rabbi of Israel, also said that the lives of non-Jews are protected in order to prevent financial loss to Jews. :o


"With gentiles, it will be like any person: They need to die, but God will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money. This is his servant. That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew,” said the rabbi, who recently turned 90.

I used a video of Ovadia which some claimed the words he was speaking did not match the subtitled text in hebrew (not sure I believe that), and a few more pics of him with Netanyau holding hands, toasting wine, and hugging like best buddies.

The "goyim serving" thing all goes back to one reference he made at a synagogue by an article from one guy, and cannot be ultimately verified conclusively.

It basically resulted in an uproar, but the fact that Ovadia recanted his remarks publicly about killing all the Palestinians a few weeks later (or something to that effect) had some traction. Why would he bother to recant something he didn't say right?

The thing with Ovadia though is there is conflicting positions on the guy. Some are pro some are con....whether that is deliberate is to be decided. It's not an open shut case with him entirely across the board.

It's always best to stick to the facts, and just report them. It has to be devoid of as much bias as possible to be the most effective. People don't have an aversion to certain information, but do they like to make up their own minds when digesting info. Adding slant reduces the effectiveness.

My general rule of thumb is to use Z when it's politically related, and controversial, and J when it's not.

It varies.

Z's try to rule the world, works better than J's. Because some J's like to smoke pot, play video games, and hate on the system also.

J's own hollywood, but when you're pointing out an agenda in a movie it's helps to use Z.

J bankers seems to fit universally unless it's related to something in IL, or global domination, then it's a Z banker. With bankers you can also go with parasite. Some room there.
