I actually think it looks not bad. Was it penned by Pina Farrina? It has that style to it. Side on it looks more TVR than E-type but you can see the cues.
Is that a Targa roof? It looks a little bit like the Shelby coupe..... kinda, slightly.

Exactly. Put a Ferrari logo on it and it is beautiful.

What?? It's not about conspiracy or gun confiscation?!?! What a fuckin waste of bandwidth!!!!!!!!! :p

Take the vents off the front quarter panels, or better yet, paint them the same color, and take the silver accent off the front grill. They trended a bit of Nissan GTR in the back end.

It isn't that bad looking.

Not too bad, the A-stamped blank wheel wells fuck up the entire design though.

Mouth looks a little like a rabid dog's (Pacman) too open.

I like it. Of course I spent many years driving a Vette....

The new Vette seems pretty cool looking. Where’s the hate coming from?
On the other hand, the Aztek (now made famous in the TV series: Braking Bad) is a design done by committees and the end results show it. One of the 10 ugliest cards ever made.

This is a case where all those 3D renderings lied somewhat.

I quit giving a damn about sports cars after owning one for a while. Now I see vehicles as transportation, nothing more.

That new 'vette doesn't deserve the name Stingray. The '60s Stingray was graceful and flowing, this new thing they came up with that's so busy and looks like it become a Transformer at any moment (Gov.motors maybe thinking about the toy marketing aspect?) looks nothing like they could have come up with. After seeing the treatment they gave the Camaro I'm not the least bit surprised. Dodge did far better with the Challenger imo, making it appear much like the original rather than something that looks like it could be a Transformer.

Check out what Honda (Accura) came up with for the new NSX -

No matter the viewing angle, it still looks much better than that cheezy looking new 'vette.
