Local sheriff on gun control

This guy was just elected, he is replacing the old sheriff that held office for over 35 years. They both had the same view point on gun control!

This is the county south of me and the other two county's that my town is in feel much the same on guns as was stated on the news video. (my town is at a junction of 3 county's)

Very good interview and I like what he's saying but I just wish for once someone would take on the whole "needs" litmus test.
Ask the reporter does anyone NEED a Z06 Corvette or Hyabusa motorcycle that can go 200 mph?
Does anyone NEED to drink alcoholic beverages?

These things are dangerous as well but we enjoy them because we have the freedom to choose how to live our lives. Stop making everything "needs" based and make reporters go on record that gun control freaks want to step on constitutional rights to further their agenda, which has little to do with a degree of safety, especially considering that swimming pools, hammers and knives kill way more people than guns.

I expect that when it comes to funding most sheriffs respond like any other. So when the funding stops the position changes. It is extremely hard to argue with a banker when the debts are due. In this instance the banker also prints his own money, sets wages and tariffs, establishes policies and pretends to kill school kids.
