Kindergartner grilled for three hours, forced to undergo psychological testing

In yet another hysterical over-reaction to last month’s Sandy Hook school shooting, a girl of five-years-old has been suspended from school following a three hour grilling when she joked that she would shoot her classmates with a toy gun.
The girl, from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, was last week said to have told other children at the school that she was going to shoot them, and then herself with a pink Hello Kitty bubble gun; a toy that is filled with a soapy solution to make bubbles with.
School officials reportedly categorized the incident as a “terroristic threat,” (http://dailyitem.com/0100_news/x964877896/Bubbles-shooter-5-suspended) and labeled the girl’s actions a “threat to harm others.”
Superintendent Bernard Stellar of Mount Carmel school, who has refused to comment on the incident, at first suspended the girl for ten days, before reducing the punishment to two days. All this came after an interrogation that lasted several hours, at which the girl’s parents were not present, according to their lawyer.
“This is a good-natured little girl,” the lawyer, Robin Ficker said. “And this shows how hysterical people who work at schools have become since Sandy Hook.”
“You’re telling me that this child was questioned by adults, in a situation where there was no parent or parental guardian, and then she was, initially, given an incident category of ‘making terrorist threats?’” Ficker asked. “And this from a 5-year-old? What’s going on here? Can’t kids be kids anymore?”
Ficker added that the so called “threat” came “from the mind of this beautiful 5-year-old child who was playing with her friends, whom she hugs every day”.
Ficker also revealed that the girl was forced to undergo psychological testing from an independent practitioner before being allowed back into the school. He also noted that the incident will be added to the girl’s permanent school record.
The parents of the girl are considering taking the matter further and may sue the school district, pending the outcome of a meeting with the district superintendent.
“All I know,” said the mother, “is what my daughter has told me and she said she was told she could go to jail, which is a very traumatic thing for a 5-year-old to live with.”
This may sound like a ridiculous incident, but it is not an isolated one, and magnifies how ludicrous the knee jerk reaction to the fateful December shooting has been.
Earlier this month a 6-year-old boy was suspended (http://abcnews.go.com/US/maryland-grader-suspended-pointing-finger-shape-gun/story?id=18123294) from his elementary school in Maryland for making a gun gesture with his hand and saying “pow”.
Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames.
Days later another two 6-year-olds in Maryland (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/1st-graders-booted-playing-cops-robbers-article-1.1241260) were suspended for pointing their fingers into gun shapes while playing “cops and robbers” with each other.
In Oklahoma, a five-year-old boy was also recently suspended (http://chickashanews.com/local/x1303511299/Local-student-suspended-for-gun-gesture)for making a gun gesture with his hand.
A 13-year-old Middle School seventh grade student in Pennsylvania was also suspended (http://www.wfmz.com/news/Regional-Poconos-Coal/Tamaqua-7th-grader-suspended-for-pointing-finger-gun-at-classmates/-/149546/17844114/-/f8djvnz/-/index.html) for the same hand gesture.

I think back to my own childhood, fraught with realistic looking .38 revolver cap guns, that we used to run around shooting each other with on school grounds after school.

Nobody felt threatened then, even though the word "terrorist" had already been invented.

Perhaps those were more enlightened times...

Everyone used to do that before all the schools started getting shot up.

We used to run around the neighborhood with those cap guns with the red plastic ring style caps. They looked real, and were pretty loud. Running around all over the place shooting the hell out of everything.

Heck, I had an all black battery powered replica UZI water gun that I used carry all over the place. Nobody said a word...or even looked twice really.

Then again, I can't recall a single school shooting, or really any public shooting incident, growing up.

She will never be the same person after this. The state is striking fear into the hearts and minds of every kid in this country with a central message: "You will think and say what we tell you to. If you deviate from our doctrine, we will harass you, stigmatize you and ruin your life." The state has no heart, no feelings, no empathy, no soul. And it is raising an entire population of drones whose individuality has literally been scared out of them. I see this every day when I shop. The young kids working these crap retail jobs have a passivity and hopelessness about them. The looks on their faces are a combination of fear and resignation. It is criminal what is being done to these kids.

Czech republic?

Gun politics in the Czech Republic incorporates the political and regulatory aspects of firearms usage in the country. Policy in the Czech Republic is in many respects less restrictive than elsewhere in Europe (see Gun politics in the European Union). The most recent Gun Act was passed in 2001, replacing the previous law and tightening the legislation slightly. Firearms in the Czech Republic are available to anybody without a criminal record and aged above 18 (or 21 for certain license categories). Self-defense is an acceptable justification to obtain a firearms license. The Czech gun laws also permits a citizen to carry a concealed weapon without having to specify a reason.

Enacting laws to prevent rampant financial fraud, and following through with it is a good step. Talking to kids hoping they don't exhibit signs of the next serial killer can be considered another. I doubt they water boarded her.

Thing about humans is they see shit, then they parrot it. I see it all the time everywhere I look in every direction.

Probably harkens back to the first monkey using a stick, and natural selection.

There is no fault per se. That is a strawman argument.

The alternative is to let people do anything they want.

Given some of the low IQ total mental cases that walk the earth, do you think that would be a good scenario, or perhaps less than ideal?

Should parents bother to instill any rules or regimen in their kids lives, or does that just infringe on the child's inherent rights to creativity?

Our population is predominated by virtual atheists and cynical realists. What compels someone to keep his word and his oath? It probably helps if you believe in a soul, a supreme being and ultimately accountability for our deeds in this life after death. But what if you don't really believe in God? What if you believe that after life there is nothing? What if you have become cynical and accept nothing as sacred or sacrosanct? You observe that life is a game and those who are "flexible" and willing to play the game, to change their words and beliefs to suit the circumstance are rewarded and advanced. When you have a populace predominated by this type of person, then no multiplicity of laws can prevent corruption and general dishonesty and debauchery by the leadership and the population. There are no longer moral or ethical restraints on personal actions. The only litmus test is "whether I can get away with it."

Or what if your God forgives all sins by a simple belief, or all judgement comes after this world? This is anything goes.

People know what is wrong, if not simply must be told why it is.

In light of recent developments this is the kind of thing you will see, and it does no harm to make sure this line of thought is not on a trend aside from harmless fun.

New Zealand or Tasmania.

You should listen to Vinny Eastwood. He's a Kiwi and pretty much the lead "Truther" in that country. He's not batshit like Alex Jones, actually effective and funny.

It's actually worse there than it is here from what I gather. Remember, these countries DON'T allow guns! I hope you like rocks. The United States still has the highest concentration of freedom loving people in the West. Personally I think freedom loving people should move to the pockets of people where Liberty is still alive and simply hold ground. If you're wealthy you could also go to the rural parts of Argentina, that's where Doug Casey lives. It's close to anarchy there (the good kind.)

Ideally it would be handled by the teacher. It's like calling the cops v.s. handling it yourself. Once they arrive, all kinds of legal avenues pop up for people to sue anything that moves, so it all gets really proper, and official.

Hard to tell what the home life is like. Does the child watch her older siblings play violent video games on a large screen TV all day long? Who knows.

Not a bad time to sit the kid down, and let them know it's not ok to shoot at people, or hurt them, and get their response. If the child starts going on about stabbing puppies, there might be something more to it, or it could be nothing at all which is most likely the case.

Sadly, it's an overly politically correct world now. Next thing you know someone is suing the school claiming their kid was traumatized for "being shot at" because of all the school shootings, and how their child thinks they're going to get killed at school all the time.

You can only blame the gov for so much when many people themselves act irresponsible (school shootings), and ultimately retarded (over react) in so many ways.

I wonder if this actually happened? I am thinking if one wants to piss off people more who are pissed off about Sandy Hook frauds, then this would be the right thing to do... I looked into the lawyer in this case, Robin Ficker, apparently he has another similar case of a boy aged 6 who was suspended for making a gun gesture a couple of weeks ago. He has a past in attempting to get elected in political offices, and being an infamous sports heckler primarily NBA games...

Many of you are talking like terrorists. I am beginning to wonder what went wrong inside your heads. That girl was heading down a dangerous path. It was good that they nipped that whole thing in the bud before it went too far. One thing leads to another and before you know it, she would be pointing her fannie at another student and blasting them with global warming hazardous gases.

The thing is it's more about covering your ass these days than anything. Nobody wants to deal with the responsibility personally, so up it goes to big brother.

People sue over anything to make a buck these days. Open a door for potential lawsuit, and a herd of cattle will run through it.

Tell me this doesn't happen.

Are you out of your mind..............

Normally it would be to say that, but in light of recent developments a lot of little kids don't feel safe at school anymore, and quite a few parents even less about it.

Little mary comes home one day saying someone at school tried to shoot her, someone that made fun of her, and she feels scared at night, and can't concentrate thinking someone is going to come in one day and hurt her like the other kids on TV.

Then it's on. OMG! What's going on? What was done about it? Why is this tolerated? I'm suing the school! This shouldn't be tolerated! There needs to be a policy. These are your daily neighbors living around you pushing for this.

You can bet your stash people are going to act like this, and people are going to diligently cover their asses over it.

Do you start cracking jokes at a funeral, then say ..cmon...what's wrong with you? You don't have a sense of humor? Are you out of your mind?

Sometimes you need to look around and see what time it is.

I hear telling jokes at funerals goes over really well.

...but I don't expect anyone to actually counter that post in it's entirety aside from selecting random snippets taken out of context because what I said is very much the truth of the matter, and it can't be denied, only made fun of by attacking the messenger.

What page of the Jew playbook is that from? It's a lot like (exactly) calling someone an anti semite to discredit them because what they just said can't be argued.

It's very interesting there's a core group here that uses this blatant Jew tactic which they hate so much.

I wonder what's up with that. I keep seeing it.

It was a freaking bubble gun in the hands of a five year old girl, allegedly, everyone with a grain of common sense could see that the school or no-one else had anything to fear from that, even the classmates of that girl, but you somehow try to sell the idea that parents of other children would sue the school for that, or that the school has reason to believe that parents would sue for that reason. Or that the girl in question could evolve into a murderer if not stopped in time...

Ridiculus!

It's all about the sandy hook thing. This is why it's in the news, and this is why it even happened in the first place. This is what time it is right now.

People are freaked out, both parents and children alike, and they are going to use this event as an excuse in a variety of ways as it affects them. Proof positive is someone already tried to sue the school over their kid being upset from the shooting. The precedence is already being set. This is already happening.

It's not ridiculous at all to see that....not in the slightest.

Humans mimic behavior. This is so widely documented it's not even a question. Has this girl been affected negatively by the shooting? Does she have the wrong ideas, and need to talk about it?

I don't know, and neither does the school staff know, so they are protecting themselves from another lawsuit by curbing the behavior, and taking every visible "precaution" to avoid it.

It's not a stretch to see this scenario inevitably playing out.
